A Sea of Brass Bells and Heartfelt Prayers
There’s a strange, beautiful silence in the constant ringing of bells at Chitai. Known as the 'God of Justice', Golu Devta doesn't just receive prayers; he receives letters. Thousands of brass bells and handwritten petitions hang from every corner, each a story of hope and faith.
Whether you're seeking justice or just a moment of peace, the energy here is undeniable. It's a local tradition to offer a bell when your wish is fulfilled, creating an ever-growing symphony of gratitude that resonates through the pine hills of Almora.
124 Temples in an Ancient Deodar Valley
Walking into Jageshwar is like stepping back in time. Tucked away in a narrow valley of giant, old deodar trees, over 124 stone temples stand as a testament to the local stone-craft from centuries ago.
The air here is still and cool, perfect for a short break. As a major Shiva site, it's a great place to pay your respects and find some quiet before the long drive ahead towards Adi Kailash.
