Terms & Conditions - Nagarjuna Travels

Please read these terms carefully before booking. These Terms & Conditions form a legally binding agreement between you and Nagarjuna Travels. By making a booking or payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms — on your own behalf and on behalf of all travellers in your group.

01 — Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern all tour packages, yatra services, transportation, accommodation, permit assistance, and related travel services offered by Nagarjuna Travels through nagarjunatravels.com and direct communication channels.

Nagarjuna Travels operates as a tour operator facilitating pilgrimage and leisure travel to destinations including but not limited to: Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, Kailash Mansarovar, Chardham (Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri), Shrikhand Mahadev, Manimahesh, and associated Himalayan circuits.

These terms apply to all individual travellers, group bookings, NRI clients, and foreign nationals who engage our services.

02 — Booking & Payment Terms

BOOKING CONFIRMATION

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance payment AND issuance of a written booking confirmation from Nagarjuna Travels via email. Verbal confirmations or WhatsApp acknowledgements alone do not constitute a binding booking.

For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. Specific payment schedules may vary by package and will be communicated in your booking confirmation.

  • Bank Transfer / NEFT / RTGS to Nagarjuna Travels' designated account
  • UPI (details shared upon booking confirmation)
  • Credit / Debit Card via secure payment gateway
  • Cheque (subject to clearance before departure)
Important Security Notice

Always obtain a written receipt or confirmation for every payment made. Never transfer money to personal bank accounts without a corresponding invoice from Nagarjuna Travels. If in doubt, call us directly at +91 98212 18949 to verify.

PRICING & CURRENCY

All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless explicitly stated otherwise for international packages. Quoted prices are valid at the time of booking. Once a booking is confirmed and payment received, the price is locked in.

03 — Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to info@nagarjunatravels.com. Cancellations received verbally or via WhatsApp alone will not be processed. The cancellation date is the date on which written notice is received by us.

0 – 14 days / No Show 100% of total package cost (non-refundable)
NON-REFUNDABLE COMPONENTS

Certain costs are non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing, including: Inner Line Permits / Restricted Area Permits once issued, helicopter bookings, advance-purchase flight tickets, and pre-booked accommodation that cannot be cancelled.

04 — Refunds

  • Refunds (where applicable as per the cancellation policy above) will be processed within 10–14 working days of receiving the written cancellation request, subject to deduction of applicable charges.
  • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of booking. We are not responsible for delays caused by banking institutions.
  • Mid-trip refunds are generally not available. If a traveller voluntarily exits a trip partway through or misses scheduled components due to personal reasons, no refund will be issued for unused services.
  • Refunds for weather-related, government-imposed, or force majeure disruptions are governed by Clause 09 (Force Majeure).

05 — Inclusions & Exclusions

TYPICALLY INCLUDED
  • Accommodation as specified (camps, guesthouses, or hotels)
  • All meals as specified (typically breakfast, lunch & dinner)
  • Shared or private transportation as per the package
  • Permit assistance (facilitation of government approval)
  • Local guides and escort services
  • Basic first aid and emergency support
TYPICALLY EXCLUDED
  • Flights to and from the departure city
  • Personal travel insurance (strongly recommended)
  • Personal expenses, tips, and optional activities
  • GST and applicable government taxes
  • Medical expenses and evacuation costs
  • Costs arising from unforeseen weather or road closures

06 — Travel Documents & Permits

Many of our destinations require special government permits. It is your responsibility to:

  • Provide accurate and complete personal details (as per government ID)
  • Ensure your passport / Aadhaar / Voter ID is valid for the duration of travel
  • For foreign nationals: hold a valid Indian visa; some routes require special entry permits
  • Carry original documents throughout the trip for physical verification

Nagarjuna Travels will assist with permit applications. However, we are not responsible for permit rejection or delays by government authorities.

07 — Health, Fitness & Medical Requirements

Our Himalayan tours involve demanding terrain and elevations up to 5,000 metres. By booking, you confirm that:

  • You are in good health and physically capable of the itinerary
  • You have disclosed any pre-existing medical conditions prior to departure
  • You understand and accept the risks of altitude-related illness (AMS)
  • You are aware that helicopter evacuation may not always be possible due to weather
Medical Fitness Requirement: For all yatras above 4,000m elevation, travellers above 60 years of age or with any cardiac/pulmonary condition must provide a fitness certificate from a qualified physician.

08 — Liability & Indemnity

Nagarjuna Travels coordiantes with third-party providers. We cannot be held liable for:

  • Acts or omissions of third-party service providers
  • Injury, illness, death, or loss arising from remote area travel
  • Losses due to natural disasters, political unrest, or road closures
  • Permit delays or flight cancellations

Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the package. By booking, you agree to indemnify Nagarjuna Travels from any claims arising from your participation.

09 — Force Majeure & Trip Alterations

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control: natural disasters, extreme weather, government orders, road closures, or civil unrest.

In a Force Majeure Event:

We will make every effort to provide alternative arrangements. Where not possible, we will offer a credit note valid for 12 months or a partial refund after deducting incurred costs.

10 — Traveller Conduct & Code of Ethics

Our destinations are sacred and ecologically sensitive. Travellers must:

  • Respect local customs and religious practices
  • Follow instructions of guides and representatives
  • Not consume alcohol or non-vegetarian food in sacred zones
  • Follow Leave No Trace principles (do not litter)

We reserve the right to remove any traveller whose behaviour endangers others or violates laws, without refund.

11 — Itinerary Changes & Amendments

We reserve the right to modify itineraries for safety and operational reasons. Client-initiated amendments are subject to availability and an amendment fee of Rs 500–Rs 2,000 per change.

12 — Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. Consumer grievances may be addressed through the NCDRC under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
