Day wise Itinerary


  • Day 1
    Arrive at Nepalgunj
    Upon your arrival at Nepalgunj, our representative will greet you and escort you to your pre-booked hotel. In the evening, you'll attend a briefing session led by the tour guide to prepare you for the upcoming journey. Dinner will be provided at the hotel, and you will spend the night in Nepalgunj. This day brings you to a maximum elevation of 152m, with veg dinner included. Your accommodation will be in a hotel on a sharing basis.
  • Day 2
    Fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot
    After breakfast, you will board a flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, a small Himalayan town located at 2910m. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your guesthouse where you can rest and acclimatize to the altitude. If the weather permits, a helicopter trip to Hilsa or Taklakot may be arranged later in the day. During the day, you'll cover 297 km by flight (approximately 45 minutes). Meals included are veg lunch and dinner, and you'll stay in a guesthouse on a sharing basis.
  • Day 3
    Fly from Simikot to Hilsa by Helicopter, Drive to Taklakot
    In the morning, you'll fly from Simikot to Hilsa by helicopter (a 25-minute flight). After landing, you will complete immigration formalities at the border before crossing the friendship bridge into Tibet. From there, you'll take a 22 km drive to reach Taklakot, located at an elevation of 4025m. Spend the night in Taklakot, where you'll rest in a hotel or guesthouse.
  • Day 4
    Taklakot – Free Day for Acclimatization
    Today is a crucial acclimatization day in Taklakot, located at 4025m. You'll spend the day resting at your hotel and exploring the local markets. This day will help you adjust to the high-altitude conditions before proceeding further into the pilgrimage.
  • Day 5
    Drive from Taklakot to Lake Manasarovar
    After breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic 70 km drive to reach the sacred Lake Manasarovar at 4590m. Here, you will enjoy the spiritual aura of the holy lake and participate in a parikrama (circumambulation) around the lake, done by bus. You can take a holy dip in the lake before resting overnight in a guesthouse nearby. The day's journey covers 70 km by road to Chiu Gompa and 90 km parikrama by bus. Meals include veg breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with accommodation in a guesthouse on a sharing basis.
  • Day 6
    First Day of Mt. Kailash Parikrama – Trek to Dirapuk (12 km)
    On this day, you begin the first leg of your Kailash Parikrama, starting from Yam Dwar and trekking 12 km to reach Dirapuk. The trek offers stunning views and takes about 4-6 hours to complete, with mostly flat terrain. Once you arrive at Dirapuk, located at an altitude of 5210m, you'll be treated to the breathtaking sight of Mount Kailash’s North Face. Meals provided include veg breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with accommodation in a guesthouse on a sharing basis. The journey includes a 35 km drive to the starting point of the trek.
  • Day 7
    Second Day of Parikrama – Trek to Zuthulpukh via Dolma La Pass (22 km)
    Today, you will undertake the most challenging part of the journey, crossing the 5630m-high Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the pilgrimage. After the steep ascent, you will descend toward Gauri Kund and continue on a flat trek to Zuthulpukh, covering 22 km in total. This part of the trek will take around 10-12 hours, making it a spiritually and physically rewarding experience. Meals include veg breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and you will stay in a guesthouse on a sharing basis.
  • Day 8
    Trek to Darchen, Drive to Taklakot
    After breakfast, you will complete the final 8 km trek back to Darchen. Upon reaching Darchen, you'll board your vehicle for a 105 km drive to Taklakot, where you'll spend the night in a comfortable hotel. Meals include veg breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and accommodation will be at a 4 equivalent hotels. The maximum elevation for the day will be 4575m.
  • Day 9
    Taklakot to Nepalgunj via Simikot
    On your final day, after completing the necessary immigration formalities at the Nepal-China border, you will take a 25-minute helicopter flight back to Simikot. From there, you'll board a 45-minute flight to Nepalgunj, marking the end of your pilgrimage. This day includes veg breakfast, and you'll cover 25 minutes by helicopter and 45 minutes by flight, with a maximum elevation of 2910m in Simikot and 152m in Nepalgunj. No accommodation is provided for this night, as it marks the conclusion of the journey.
