Day wise Itinerary

Day 1Day 1: Drive from Haldwani/Kathgodam or Rishikesh to LohajungBegin your journey with a long drive from either Haldwani/Kathgodam or Rishikesh to Lohajung. The distance of approximately 260 km takes around 10-11 hours to cover. For those joining from Rishikesh, transportation will be arranged from Live Free Hostel, departing at 5:00 am. The cost of a cab is Rs 7,000 per vehicle, while a Tempo Traveller costs Rs 11,000. These costs are shared among the trekkers and paid directly to the driver. Please note that the vehicles are non-AC. Upon reaching Lohajung, settle into the base camp and prepare for the trek ahead.

Day 2Day 2: Drive from Lohajung to Wan and Trek to Gehroli PatalStart the day with a short drive from Lohajung to Wan, the trek’s starting point. From Wan, begin your trek to Gehroli Patal, covering a distance of 6.3 km over approximately 6 hours. The trek takes you from an altitude of 7,550 feet to 10,350 feet, passing through dense forests and offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Spend the night at the campsite in Gehroli Patal.

Day 3Day 3: Trek from Gehroli Patal to Abin Kharak via Bedni BugyalContinue your trek from Gehroli Patal to Abin Kharak, passing through the picturesque Bedni Bugyal. This segment of the trek covers 5.6 km and takes around 5-6 hours. You’ll ascend from 10,350 feet to 11,145 feet, with the highest point of the day at 12,550 feet. Bedni Bugyal, with its expansive meadows and stunning views, is one of the highlights of the trek. Camp overnight at Abin Kharak.

Day 4Day 4: Trek from Abin Kharak to Didna via Ali BugyalOn this day, trek from Abin Kharak to Didna, traversing the scenic Ali Bugyal along the way. The trek covers a distance of 9.3 km, taking around 5 hours. The trail descends from 11,145 feet to 8,150 feet, offering a mix of stunning landscapes, from lush meadows to dense forests. Reach Didna by late afternoon and camp for the night.

Day 5Day 5: Trek from Didna to Kuling and Drive to LohajungThe final day of trekking takes you from Didna to Kuling, a short and relatively easy descent. Once in Kuling, transportation will be arranged to take you back to Lohajung, where the trek concludes. Reflect on your adventure as you drive back to the basecamp, marking the end of your journey.
