Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1
  Haridwar to Gangotri
  Start early from Haridwar and travel to Gangotri, the starting point of the trek. It's a long drive, so make sure to stock up on essentials in Gangotri. Spend the rest of the day exploring Gangotri town and acclimatizing to the altitude. Overnight stay in Gangotri.
• Day 2
  Gangotri to Bhojbasa
  Begin the trek from Gangotri to Bhojbasa, a picturesque camping site along the Bhagirathi River. The trek is about 14 km and takes approximately 6-7 hours. En route, you'll pass through lush forests, meadows, and beautiful vistas of the surrounding mountains. Reach Bhojbasa by late afternoon and set up camp. Overnight stay in tents at Bhojbasa.
• Day 3
  Bhojbasa to Gaumukh and Tapovan
  Today's trek takes you from Bhojbasa to Gaumukh, the source of the River Ganges. It's a moderate trek of about 4 km, but the altitude gain makes it challenging. Spend some time at Gaumukh, soaking in the breathtaking views of the glacier. Continue trekking to Tapovan, a high-altitude meadow offering panoramic views of Shivling Peak and other Himalayan peaks. Total trekking distance is around 9 km, taking about 5-6 hours. Set up camp at Tapovan and rest for the night.
• Day 4
  Exploration and Rest Day at Tapovan
  Use this day to explore the mesmerizing surroundings of Tapovan. You can hike to nearby viewpoints or simply relax amidst the serene beauty of the Himalayas. Acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the tranquility of the place. Overnight stay in tents at Tapovan.
• Day 5
  Tapovan to Bhojbasa
  Bid farewell to the majestic peaks of Tapovan and start your descent back to Bhojbasa. Enjoy the downhill trek with stunning views of the mountains and the Bhagirathi River. Reach Bhojbasa by late afternoon and unwind at the campsite. Overnight stay in tents at Bhojbasa.
• Day 6
  Bhojbasa to Gangotri
  Descend further from Bhojbasa to Gangotri. Take your time to appreciate the scenic beauty and wildlife along the trail. Once you reach Gangotri, relax and rejuvenate after the trek. Overnight stay in Gangotri.
• Day 7
  Gangotri to Haridwar
  Start your journey back to Haridwar from Gangotri. It's a long drive, so make necessary stops along the way for refreshments and to stretch your legs. Reach Haridwar by evening, concluding your memorable Gaumukh Tapovan trek.
