The Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra is the most sacred and culturally rich Himalayan pilgrimage of Uttarakhand. Held once in 12 years, this extraordinary yatra is dedicated to Maa Nanda Devi, worshipped as the divine daughter of the Himalayas and protector of Garhwal. It is not just a trek—it is a living spiritual tradition, where devotion, folklore, rituals, and nature merge into a once-in-a-lifetime journey.

Thousands of pilgrims walk together with prayerful hearts, singing traditional folk songs, participating in sacred ceremonies, and moving from village-to-village until the yatra reaches its most holy climax at Homkund Puja. The experience is deeply transformative and is considered a true tapasya (spiritual discipline).
