Day 1
Kathgodam to Pithoragarh (via Jageshwar Dham & Chitai Golu Devta Temple)
Kumaon Foothills Route (approx. 180 km / 6–7 hrs)
Your journey begins at Kathgodam railway station between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. After meeting your driver and loading luggage into the private SUV, begin the uphill drive into the Kumaon hills. Drive via Almora to visit Jageshwar Dham, an ancient 8th-to-12th century stone temple complex set amidst deodar forests. Continue to Chitai Golu Devta Temple, dedicated to the regional deity of justice. By late afternoon, reach Pithoragarh (elevation approx. 1,600m) and check into Sumeru Resort / Pine Resort. Enjoy dinner and rest to begin high-altitude acclimatization.

Day 2
Pithoragarh to Gunji (via Dharchula & Vyas Valley)
Ascent to Vyas Valley (approx. 170 km / 3,200m Elevation)
After early breakfast, drive to Dharchula located along the Kali River on the Nepal border. Complete the mandatory Inner Line Permit (ILP) verification and administrative formalities. Then commence the mountain ascent into Vyas Valley through Malpa, Chhialekh, and Garbyang. As elevation reaches 3,200 meters at Gunji, the day is paced comfortably for proper acclimatization. Check into a clean wooden homestay equipped with attached washrooms, enjoy hot local vegetarian food, and rest early.

Day 3
Gunji to Jollingkong – Adi Kailash, Parvati Kund & Gauri Kund
Adi Kailash Base (approx. 4,400m / 14,500 ft • 32 km drive each way)
Depart early morning by SUV from Gunji through Kuti village to Jollingkong, the motorable roadhead for Adi Kailash. From the vehicle drop point, there is a gentle 1.5 to 2 km walk (local ponies available on-site for those who prefer not to walk) to reach the high-altitude lake of Parvati Kund and the ancient temple facing the majestic snow-capped peak of Adi Kailash. View surrounding landmarks including Pandav Parvat, Parvati Mukut, and Brahma Parvat. After prayers, quiet reflection, and photography, return by SUV to Gunji for dinner and overnight stay.

Gunji to Om Parvat (Navidhang) – Kalapani, Vyas Gufa & Return to Dharchula
Om Parvat Viewpoint (Navidhang at 14,000 ft) & Descent (approx. 90 km)
Drive early morning from Gunji to Navidhang (approx. 18 km) for a direct, unobstructed view of Om Parvat, where snow naturally creates the revered "OM ॐ" symbol across the mountain face. On the return descent through Vyas Valley, stop at Kalapani to visit the Kali Temple and view Vyas Gufa across the valley. Continue descending down to Dharchula by late afternoon. Check into Hotel Kailash Mansarovar / Kailash Manas / KMVN for dinner and a comfortable night at lower altitude.

Day 5
Dharchula to Munsiyari – Drive to Johar Valley & Panchachuli View
Johar Valley Drive (approx. 100 km / 4–5 hrs)
After breakfast, leave Dharchula and drive toward Munsiyari via Madkot. The scenic mountain road winds past streams, waterfalls, and alpine forests, ascending to 2,200 meters. Arrive in Munsiyari by early afternoon and check into Panchachuli Inn Resort & Cottages. Spend a relaxing afternoon and evening enjoying panoramic views of the five Panchachuli peaks and experiencing the local culture of the Johar Valley without long highway fatigue.

Day 6
Munsiyari to Patal Bhuvneshwar – Underground Cave Temple
Limestone Cave Shrine (approx. 120 km / 4–5 hrs)
Enjoy morning mountain views in Munsiyari, then drive toward Patal Bhuvneshwar via Thal and Berinag, passing the scenic Birthi Falls along the route. Reach Patal Bhuvneshwar to explore the extraordinary subterranean limestone cave temple, accessed through a narrow descent into caverns featuring natural stalactite and stalagmite formations associated with 33 crore deities in regional belief. Day 7
Patal Bhuvneshwar to Kathgodam (via Kasar Devi & Kainchi Dham) – Return Journey
Return Drive via Almora & Bhowali (approx. 190 km / 6–7 hrs)
Depart after breakfast and drive toward Almora. Stop on Crank’s Ridge to visit the 2nd-century CE Kasar Devi Temple, known for its panoramic views of Trishul and Nanda Devi peaks where Swami Vivekananda meditated in 1890. Continue descending through Bhowali to visit Kainchi Dham Ashram, established in 1964 by Neem Karoli Baba, for quiet moments at the temple. Arrive at Kathgodam railway station by 5:30–6:30 PM for onward train connections, completing your 7-day Kumaon pilgrimage.
