Premium Himalayan journeys with local expertise.
Deep in the Himalayan valleys of Jammu & Kashmir, at an altitude of 3,888 metres above the sea, inside a natural cave sealed in ice and silence for most of the year, Lord Shiva made his most sacred revelation. It was here — in the Amarnath Cave — that Mahadev narrated the Amar Katha to Maa Parvati: the secret of immortality, the origin of the universe, the story that cannot be unheard. It is said that the two doves who overheard this story became immortal, and are still seen near the cave each year. The self-formed ice Shivling — Baba Barfani — appears inside the cave naturally each summer: a stalagmite of pure ice, rising from the cave floor without human hand, believed to be the physical manifestation of Lord Shiva himself. To stand before it — even for a few minutes — is the spiritual goal of millions. Our Amarnath Yatra by Helicopter Package 2026 (5 Days / 4 Nights, via Srinagar → Sonamarg → Baltal → Neelgrath Helipad → Panjtarni → Holy Cave) is designed for every devotee who hears that calling. The helicopter takes you from Neelgrath to Panjtarni in under 10 minutes. From Panjtarni, a 6 km walk or pony ride brings you to the cave. And Baba Barfani awaits. Jai Baba Barfani. Om Namah Shivaya
The Amarnath Cave is located in the Lidder Valley of the Anantnag district, Jammu & Kashmir, at an altitude of approximately 3,888 metres (12,756 feet) above sea level. The cave is approximately 40 metres high, 30 metres wide, and 150 metres deep. It is situated at the end of a glaciated valley, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, and is accessible only during a brief summer window of 6–8 weeks when the snow clears enough for pilgrims to pass. The Amarnath Cave is reached via two routes: the Pahalgam route (46 km from Pahalgam, 3–5 days by foot) and the shorter Baltal route (14 km from Baltal base camp, 1–2 days by foot, or by helicopter to Panjtarni and then 6 km)
There are two routes to Amarnath Cave — the Pahalgam route (46 km over 3–5 days on foot) and the Baltal route (14 km, 1–2 days on foot, or by helicopter to Panjtarni). The helicopter route via Baltal (Neelgrath helipad) is the fastest, safest, and most accessible way to complete the Amarnath Yatra — and it is the route our 5D/4N package uses. The Neelgrath to Panjtarni helicopter flight takes approximately 8 minutes. From Panjtarni, a 6 km walk or pony ride reaches the Holy Cave. Starting from Srinagar — the ideal arrival point for pilgrims from across India — the journey flows via the stunning Sonamarg valley (Thajiwas Glacier, Sindh River) to the Baltal base camp. After darshan, return to Srinagar for a day of Kashmir sightseeing — Dal Lake, Shikara ride, Mughal Gardens — before departure. The result: complete Amarnath darshan and Kashmir sightseeing in 5 days, with the physical demands of the yatra managed by the helicopter. This is Baba Barfani's darshan for the modern pilgrim: complete spiritual fulfilment, managed beautifully. Om Namah Shivaya.
