Shrikhand Kailash Yatra 2026 to Begin on July 10; Registrations Opening Soon

Devotees of Lord Shiva and trekking enthusiasts have reason to rejoice as the sacred Shrikhand Kailash Yatra 2026 is set to commence from 10 July 2026. The annual pilgrimage, considered one of the most challenging and spiritually significant yatras in the Himalayas, attracts thousands of devotees from across India every year.
According to preliminary information, preparations for the yatra are underway, and the registration process is expected to open shortly. Pilgrims are advised to keep their identification documents and medical fitness certificates ready, as registration and health screening are mandatory for undertaking the pilgrimage.
Located in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district, Shrikhand Kailash stands at an altitude of approximately 18,570 feet and is revered as one of the abodes of Lord Shiva. The pilgrimage route passes through dense forests, alpine meadows, glaciers, and high mountain ridges before reaching the sacred Shrikhand Mahadev Shivling.
Authorities and local administration are expected to announce detailed guidelines, registration procedures, medical requirements, and safety protocols in the coming days. Due to the high-altitude terrain and physically demanding trek, only medically fit pilgrims are encouraged to participate.
Travel operators and pilgrimage organizers have also started accepting preliminary inquiries for Shrikhand Kailash Yatra 2026. With the yatra beginning on 10 July, a large number of devotees are expected to register once the official registration portal opens.
