Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026: Mandatory Price Increase Announced

Important Update – Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026
Nagarjuna Travels, India

Dear Pilgrims, Travel Partners & Associates,

Greetings from Nagarjuna Travels.

We would like to inform you about an important update received from the Association of Kailash Tour Operators Nepal (AKTON) regarding the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026.

As per the latest communication, AKTON and its member agencies have received the official 2026 contract from the Chinese authorities (Foreign Exchange Center – FEC). Based on this, there is a mandatory revision in pricing for Indian pilgrims, along with significant policy changes related to operations and support staff, which must be strictly followed.

Due to ongoing global conditions and operational challenges, there has been a substantial increase in costs related to hotels, food supplies, transportation, and airfares. As a result, continuing operations on previous pricing is no longer feasible.

Revised Cost Impact (Effective Immediately):

  • Overland Route: USD 150 + INR 5,000 per person increase
  • Helicopter Route (Lucknow–Lucknow): USD 150 + INR 15,000 per person increase
  • Helicopter Route (Kathmandu–Kathmandu): USD 150 + INR 25,000 per person increase

These revised rates are mandatory and non-negotiable, and will be applicable to both new and existing bookings.

Additionally, there is a proposal from the Chinese authorities to introduce a fixed kitchen system, where food expenses may be standardized. If implemented, this could result in an additional USD 150 per person, which will be confirmed and communicated once finalized.

Important Travel Advisory – Saga Dawa Festival

Due to the sacred Saga Dawa Festival, permit issuance for Indian pilgrims will be highly restricted between 17 May 2026 and 16 June 2026. During this period, it is advised not to plan or confirm any yatra departures, as approvals are unlikely.

Important Note

Offering or accepting prices lower than the revised approved rates may lead to serious compromises in services, including accommodation, food quality, and transportation. We strongly advise all pilgrims and partners to adhere to the updated structure to ensure a safe and well-managed yatra experience.

Nagarjuna Travels is closely monitoring all developments and will continue to keep you updated with the latest information.

We appreciate your cooperation, patience, and understanding.

Warm regards,
Team Nagarjuna Travels
