The Uttar Pradesh Government has continued its special financial assistance scheme for devotees undertaking the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in 2026. Announced by the Tourism Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Jaiveer Singh, this initiative provides financial support to pilgrims who embark on the sacred and challenging journey of Kailash Mansarovar.
The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is considered one of the most spiritually rewarding pilgrimages in the world. However, due to its remote routes, international travel costs, and tough terrain, the Yatra often remains financially out of reach for many devotees. To make this holy journey more accessible for residents of Uttar Pradesh, the government has implemented a subsidy of ₹1,00,000 per eligible pilgrim.
This article explains the updated details for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Subsidy 2026, including eligibility, documents, application process, route details, and religious significance.
The goal of the Uttar Pradesh Government's subsidy is to:
Ease the financial burden for those wishing to visit Mount Kailash and Mansarovar Lake.
Encourage more devotees to complete this rare and sacred pilgrimage.
Support pilgrims who want to undertake the journey driven by deep faith and devotion.
Ensure that financial limitations do not prevent spiritual growth.
The scheme honors the emotions and spiritual aspirations of devotees, making the divine Yatra more accessible and affordable.

The subsidy applies only if the pilgrim completes the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra:

The scheme benefits are issued only after the successful completion of the Yatra and verification of documents.
This ensures fairness and authenticity in distributing government financial aid.
Each eligible pilgrim will receive ₹1,00,000 (One Lakh Rupees) as financial assistance under the 2026 scheme.
The amount will be directly transferred to the pilgrim’s bank account.
It will be approved only after:
